Wild Rider Mountain Coaster
Get ready for thrilling twists, turns & speed!
Ride down the mountain on a roller coaster! You control the speed on this family-friendly pipe coaster that takes you through twists, turns and beautiful views from the top of the Discovery Quad chairlift.

Glide through pine forest and open mountain terrain as you ride our new mountain coaster from the top of the Discovery Quad chairlift back to the village. You’ll find exciting twists and turns throughout the 1 km track as you travel at up to 40km per hour - but the speed is in your hands! You're in control as you descend 165 metres from start to finish, so you can take it as easy as you like.
Our mountain coaster is an exciting adventure for the whole family!

Coaster tickets start at $25.00.
Buy your coaster ticket in advance and save up to 20% off the window price! Use your ticket any time that day, no time-slots. Note that the coaster's busiest times are 11am-2pm.

Height & Weight Requirements
Height
To ride alone you must be 125cm (4'1" feet) tall. To ride with a passenger, you must be at least 15 years old — passengers must be 3-7 years old and a minimum height of 96cm (3'2"), and no taller than the driver's shoulders while seated.
Weight
The combined maximum weight per cart is 118 kg (260lbs).

Age Restrictions
- To ride alone you must be at least 125cm (4'1" feet) or taller and 8 years old.
- To ride with a passenger you must be at least 15 years old.
- Passengers must be 3 to 7 years old and a minimum height of 96cm (3'2" feet).

Rules
- Only drivers can operate the brake lever — not passengers.
- Riders must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability and knowledge to safely load, ride and unload the cart.
- Riders must wear seatbelts at all times and keep arms and legs inside the cart.
- Handheld devices, including phones and action cameras are NOT permitted.
- Action cameras may be used with a chest harness or head mount.
- Carts are not allowed to stop while on track.
- Carts should not come into contact on track. Riders must keep 40m minimum away from other carts.
- No smoking or intoxication is allowed while riding.
- Not recommended for pregnant individuals, or those with pre-existing back/neck injuries.

How do I purchase tickets?
You can purchase tickets in advance online, or day of at Guest Services in the upper village and the Adventure Centre in the lower village.
Online
Purchase online and select your date and time slot (subject to availability) and save! Tickets can be purchased right up to the time of the activity and can be loaded directly to your Panorama RFID card, or available for pick up at Guest Services, the Adventure Centre or kiosks located outside Guest Services.
In-Person
Tickets can be purchased day-of at Guest Services and the Adventure Centre. Time slots will be subject to availability. Tickets can be reloaded to your re-usable RFID card, or can be loaded to a new card for $5 deposit.

Can I change my date/time?
Coaster tickets can be used any time during the day for which you have purchased them between 10 AM - 5 PM. Changes to date will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Please visit our Guest Services team.

What happens if there's bad weather?
The mountain coaster cannot operate in the rain and may need to be suspended temporarily or closed during any thunderstorms, lightning or high winds, and will reopen as soon as safe operations can be assured.

What's a re-ride ticket?
If you've ridden the coaster and want to go again, pick up a re-ride ticket! Re-ride tickets allow you to have all the fun again, but at a discount!
Re-ride tickets tickets are only available for subsequent rides on the same day as your first ride.

What is the minimum age to ride the coaster?
Children aged 3 to 7 years old — and taller than 96cm (3'2") can ride with a driver who is 15 years or older, provided the passenger is not taller than the driver's shoulders when seated,
Children 8 and up — and taller than 125cm (4'2") can ride alone.

What should I wear/bring?
There is no special clothing or footwear required to ride Wild Rider, although we do recommend leaving behind backpacks and baseball caps.

Can I bring my camera/phone on the coaster?
If your camera is mounted to our body (chest or head mount) yes! Cell phones or cameras are not allowed as both hands are needed to operate the cart. Please plan to leave these items in a safe location, or with a friend.
