Two independent brainstrusters with well over 20 seasons here each, both told me they had their best ever run at Panorama through Heli High yesterday! That's a mic drop moment!!! Others spoke of it being orgasmically good, which explains the vocal exaltations! Basically, the superlatives can't say enough. It's a hell of a run up to Xmas after a slow pre-season! The team worked quickly to get Summit round to Heli High open in the morning and Outback Ridge access into Taynton after lunch. An end of day lap off the ridge saw no issues finding fantastic fresh lines down to the Funnel, so there's acres of the good stuff to go at again today. Caution around Landing Strip with a few exposed creek sections still about.

Zone and Stumbocks regions are also on amazing form, and snow through Founders was still light to the bottom at end of day. Moist packing snow on the lower mountain Will likely get a little crusty on ungroomed slopes with cooling last night, but should come up reasonably well on late groomed terrain.

Forecast modelling shows a good bit of snow potential tonight - a guy could quickly become accustomed to this regular service!! Keep it coming...

A touch of light snow overnight for trace amounts. Mostly cloudy with the odd sunny break and/or isolated flurry today. Tonight sees another frontal system pass through, delivering more snow for Friday. Mild to moderately strong winds at summit today and calm to light in the village. Upper elevations will see strengthening winds later in the afternoon/evening associated with the front. Temperatures mostly stay below zero today. 6AM has the village at -4C and summit at -11C, with a high of -6C expected.

Eyes to the skies, head in the clouds, but feet on the planks! The Wandering Wordsmith is back on the scene for season 14! Meet your Snow Reporter:

His office is expansive, the heating bills are low
The floors are far from level, but the feng shui has good flow
All around, the views abound, but not through a window
