Some great fresh lines down Zone 2 north side into wind packed fresh in Mocha yesterday afternoon. Dunes rode as good soft packed bumps. Soft packed bumps skiers left Millennium and packed bumps for Tacky, both skiing well. Nice grippy late afternoon turns impressed on Little Dipper and Powder Trail. Sun soaked situations abound today, so maybe a late Sun Bowl lap is on the cards to feel the rays.

Taynton Bowl has recent snowfall over a well packed wintery base. Lesser tracked lines remain and some deeper powder pockets in some trees and gullies. A refreshed feel from recent wind load, riding really well overall. Turns in fresh among tracked and soft packed yesterday in many areas, including skiers left Donnie B's / Devil's. Funnel base is recently groomed giving relief to tired legs. Landing Strip is riding smooth and wide. Good windloaded powder turns in skiers right Yeti yesterday with very few tracks.

Nordic groom has a good, packed base for great conditions overall. Cooler, clear weather overnight should see decent set up on the fresh groom. Multi-use trails are on for fat biking with melt/freeze cycles in warmer PM weather - firm and slick early, and softer later in the day. The odd cloud about early morning, but generally, another day in the sun under a bright blue sky. Winds are WSW light to mild at summit with some moderate gusts into the afternoon. Mostly calm to light breeze for lower slopes. Temperatures in the -5 to -10C range at 6AM, with the lower mountain rising into the positive realm by late morning for a balmy afternoon. Upper mountain PM highs near zero.

Eyes to the skies, head in the clouds, but feet on the planks! The Wandering Wordsmith is back on the scene for season 14! Meet your Snow Reporter:

His office is expansive, the heating bills are low
The floors are far from level, but the feng shui has good flow

Analytical tools aplenty, intel from the brainstrust, the knowledge and wisdom of the Panorama Avalanche Office, reports from the grooming crew, and the processing power possessed by the Countess of Accumulation, all combine to resource and inform your snow report.
