The bit of new snow in recent days has been skiing well on the upper mountain, softening travel over the nicely packed base. Groomed runs are best first up, especially on lower slopes where warming weather turns snow spring like through the day and traffic packs it down. Prepared paths on Whiskey Jack, Ostrander and central Sun Bowl, with Sunday specials of Schober's all the way and Stumbock's too.

Taynton continues to ski very well overall, with good, wintery, packed snow base, and a touch of new on top giving lovely soft turns yesterday. Competition closure in Donnie B's/Devil's Drop for flights of fancy in Freeride Frenzy finals today - check our Events webpage for info on viewing areas. The base of Funnel, the natural halfpipe of the far drainage and the middle of Landing Strip all have some smoothed sections. Decent snow in the Monster terrain, with some lesser tracked turns farthest out. Monster X is hauling today.

Nordic groom is in great shape with exceptionally good hard pack base. Multi-use trails got a bit pockmarked after foot traffic in warm weather, but have since been groomed for better fat biking conditions. Check the website or in person for more information and to purchase passes.

Eyes to the skies, head in the clouds, but feet on the planks! The Wandering Wordsmith is back on the scene for season 14! Meet your Snow Reporter:

His office is expansive, the heating bills are low
