Wildfires

Due to significant wildfire activity in the Okanagan and southern British Columbia, the Province declared a state of emergency, providing the government with additional powers and resources to support affected communities.

Panorama and the surrounding communities of the Columbia Valley remain open to visitors and not under any wildfire alerts.

The resort is currently fully open and we are ready to welcome you!

We encourage you to stay up to date of current conditions while travelling and during your stay. This includes road conditions, wildfire activity, air quality and any local closures of restrictions so you can make the most of your visit safely.

As the summer season progresses, stay up to date with current weather, air quality and conditions at Panorama with our real-time mountain webcams, checking the air quality health index and upcoming weather forecast.

The Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) has launched an Evacuation Notification System (ENS) to keep residents and property owners informed during critical events such as wildfires and floods. The notification system provides alerts or evacuation orders for the East Kootenay, and every resident or property owner in the region can sign up to the service to stay up to date.
