Rob Hammersley, Black Market Wine Co.

For many years while still living in Calgary, Rob and his wife, Michelle would travel to the Okanagan in search of the small boutique wines that weren’t available in the Alberta market. Inevitably, they would fill their car with cases of amazing wines…and “smuggle” them back across the border to share with family and friends. They became known as the Wine Black Marketeers, so when they set up their own winery, choosing the name was easy!

Rob is a winegrower, tending to his small vineyard in the picturesque town of Kaleden in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia and hand-crafting distinctive small-batch wines. Rob has Viticulture and Enology Certificates from Washington State University.

Anthony Buchanan, Anthony Buchanan Wines

I’m a first-generation farmer and winemaker. I had always enjoyed the culinary experience and learning about wine which made this an easy decision when I was ready for a career change. In 2009 I started the Enology program at Washington State University and shortly after packed up and moved to the Okanagan to fully submerge myself in the wine industry.

We started AB Wines in 2014 with a focus on creating wines that best represent the unique vineyards of the Valley and making wines of purity and freshness with minimal intervention.

With lots of help from my wife and kids, this is a family operation and we can't think of a better way of spending our time!

Panorama's Executive Chef, Daniel Davyduke

Daniel grew up in the Fraser Valley, surrounded by cornfields and his grandmother's cooking which is where his love of food stems from.

He obtained his red seal from Vancouver Community College and has worked around the world including Vietnam, Washington DC, and across Canada.

Daniel is heavily involved with Culinary Team Canada, first as a competitor and currently a part of the management team.

Special events and menus designed to compliment the flavor profiles of wine are some of Daniel's favourites! He cannot wait to host you on May 17th, get ready for an evening filled with flavour, aromas, and expertise.
