Nordic Skiing Information

Last day of Nordic is Sunday March 18

The Panorama Nordic Centre, located in the lower village (access from the lower parking lot), or across the suspension bridge from the Village Gondola, offers more than 20 km of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing. The trails take skiers along the scenic Toby Creek. Different routes are available for all levels of skiers from beginners to advanced. Guest can travel a 12 km loop out to the Hale Hut Warming Cabin for an unforgettable afternoon in the mountains with spectacular views.

Trail Conditions Report

The outer loops represent 90% of Panorama's Nordic trail system. They are groomed twice a week (or as needed) by a snow cat and offer both skate and classic tracks. Just 20 km from the resort (accessible by free shuttle bus) is the Lake Windermere Whiteway, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest ice-skating loop and alongside it is a 15km Nordic loop which is groomed and track set. The views of the Rockies and the Purcells from the expanse of the frozen lake are remarkable! More trails are available deep in the Kootenays too and the Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club can help point you in the right direction.
