So, what's the weather like? Here's your one-stop-shop on what to pack, what to expect, where to access amenities and all of your holiday basics for a trip to Panorama.
Panorama is a year-round resort with two main visiting seasons: Winter (December-April) and Summer (June- early September). You can still find a relaxing escape during our shoulder seasons.
Winter: The busiest times to visit are: the holiday weeks between Christmas and New Year's Day, Family Day weekend (the 3rd Monday in February, coinciding with university spring breaks to follow that week) and March (coinciding with Alberta & BC school spring breaks).
Summer: The busiest time to visit in summer is during August.
The best deals can often be found in January and April.
Winter: Sheltered by the Purcell and Rocky Mountains, Panorama experiences fairly mild winters with an average temperature of -5°C. Winter days can range between 0°C and -30°C so always be prepared with layers.
Summer: Panorama experiences hot summers that often average higher than 25°C. Given the dry climate, temperatures fluctuate quite a lot between night and day. Expect cool mornings, mild evenings and hot afternoons.
Time Zone: Panorama operates in Mountain Standard Time (MST) - the same as Calgary, one hour ahead of Vancouver.
Daylight Savings begins on the second Sunday of March, where clocks jump ahead by 1 hour. Daylight savings time ends on the first Sunday of November, where clocks are moved backward by 1 hour.
