There’s been lots of recent news coverage about fires and smoke in British Columbia. With the fire danger now rated at 'extreme' in our area it’s time for us to do all we can to lessen the chance of a blaze in the Panorama area. Effective immediately, slopes above the Mile 1 Express are closed. Please do not hike, bike or access the upper mountain until the situation improves and trails re-open. View Trail Report.
The downhill mountain bike park continues to be fully open. Walking to Fort Hide ‘N’ Seek or along the Lynx and Cox Creek Trails is fine. Guests are more than welcome to use the Yoga deck or take in the views from the top of the Mile 1 Express.
In terms of air quality, Panorama’s webcams are real time and will show you what conditions are like minute to minute. We are seeing smoke come and go but conditions in the Columbia Valley are not currently as severe as they are in other parts of the province.
