Mallory Chipman is an award-winning artist, celebrated for her acrobatic vocals, ear catching melodies, and the expert way she weaves story into song.
Her recent album, Songs to a Wild God, hit #5 on the Folk International Charts, and has been featured on NPR and SiriusXM Radio, drawing comparisons to the likes of Allison Krauss and Joni Mitchell. She has opened for Jann Arden, Madeleine Peyroux, and even sang back-up for the legendary rock band, Heart. Described as “profoundly moving” by Celtic Music Radio, Chipman recently returned home to Canada from her first tour of 2026 in Ireland and the UK, and is thrilled to be playing Wild West Winter Fest before going to Austin, Texas and showcase as part of the US Songwriting Competition’s SXSW showcase, a contest in which her ode to her prairie home, “Big Sky Country” is a finalist.
While reflecting contemporary themes, “Chipman crafts songs that feel timeless, placing her firmly within the lineage of great storytellers” (Happy Mag Australia), establishing her as an instant classic in the Canadian roots music scene. She is currently nominated for Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and Roots Artist of the Year at the Country Music Alberta Awards.
