Avalanche Awareness Days is an annual event, held in various communities throughout Canada to promote backcountry safety and education in an effort to prevent avalanche accidents and raise public awareness of the risks.
This winter join the Panorama Ski Patrol team for a weekend of learning about snow and backcountry safety.

Helly Hansen Avalanche Trivia | 6:30 PM
Head to the Jackpine Pub in the lower village for a special twist on our classic pub trivia night, with a focus on avalanche and backcountry skills.
Touring backpacks, and other great backcountry essentials from Helly Hansen are up for grabs, so make sure you've studied up!

International Ski Patrol Day | All-day
Celebrate the mountain professionals who help us keep our mountain safe, open and fun today! Whether you're riding the chairlift with them, or just headed to scope your next line, give a patroller a high-five or thank them for their work!

Helly Hansen Transceiver Plot Practice & Race | 11 AM - 2 PM
Test your times and hone your skills in this practice and race at the Mile 1 Express. Times will be recorded throughout the day with a leaderboard.
Participants can pick up some sweet Helly Hansen swag! The winner will receive a new Helly Hansen jacket, and runners up Helly Hansen touring backpacks to be given out at the Prize Draw.
Summit Snow Profile Demonstration | 12 PM - 2 PM
Head to the summit to learn more about Panorama's snowpack this season, and the science that goes into the Snow Report and daily safety on the Mountain.
Prize Draw at Great Hall | 4 PM
Winners from the Helly Hansen Transceiver Race will be awarded their prizes, as well as some lucky winners from our draw.
