Two of Western Canada’s top ice artists, Rusty Cox and Jordon Aasland, will be carving live on-site using electric chainsaws, chisels, and irons. Get an up-close look at the craftsmanship and creativity that go into producing these incredible winter works of art.
Can’t make it for the live carving? The finished sculptures will remain on display for as long as Mother Nature allows.

The Beach Patio will be offering some food & hot beverage service starting on December 21 from 12:00pm onwards (weather dependent.) Cozy up to the fire with a Baileys & Coffee or Mulled Wine, and Roasted Chestnuts!
Meet the Artists:
Rusty Cox has been an Ice Carver for 30 years. You may have seen his work at Ice Magic in Lake Louise, Ice on Whyte in Edmonton and Winterlude in Ottawa. Rusty even competes in the World Ice Sculpting Championships in Harbin, China where he placed 2nd overall in his second year competing.
Jordon Aasland has been an ice carver for 6 years. You may have seen his work at the Lake Louise Ice Invitational Competition and at the annual Cranbrook Ice Patio Carving Event. Jordon has also competed at the World Ice Sculpting Championships in Harbin, China.
