About Eaves & Bruns
Music and Skiing brought the duo Eaves & Bruns together.
John Eaves and Walter Bruns met while heli skiing and found themselves entertaining skiers
was a lot of fun. They each have unique backgrounds from the ski industry, and music is where
they have come together.
John Eaves is a 6 time World Champion Freestyle Skier, member of the Canadian Ski Hall of
Fame and was most recently inducted into the United Staes Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame in
March, 2023. John is also know for his Skiing as Roger Moore’s Stuntman in the ski scenes of
the James Bond films “ For Your Eyes Only” and “ A View to a Kill”. John also has skied and
starred in many ski films such as Willy Bogner’s “Fire & Ice”. John’s passion for music started
at a young age with piano recitals, but became engrained in his system after attending
“Woodstock” in 1969. John Plays guitar and sings.
Walter Bruns passion for the harmonica started at work with Canadian Mountain Holidays.
Walter was a Guide, Lodge Manager at the Bugaboo Lodge, Operations Manager and
eventually President of Canadian Mountain Holidays, the largest heli ski operation in the world.
Walter has since retired and made more room in his life for the passion of music and the Blues
Harmonica.
