Lesson FAQ's
  • What's included in the lesson price?

Unless stated otherwise, the lesson price is for instruction only. Lesson prices do not include equipment rentals or lift tickets with the exception of Discovery Lessons and the Next Step Program.

Adult/Youth Private lessons include high-performance rentals but no lift ticket.

  • Do I need a lift ticket to participate in a lesson?

Yes. All lesson participants are required to have a valid lift ticket. You can add lift tickets to your lesson at a discounted rate when making your lesson booking. Tickets are free for kids 5 and under but still require a waiver and RFID card which you can complete at the Ski + Ride desk or at Guest Services.

  • What equipment do I need to bring to my lesson?

Equipment rentals are not included in the lesson price. You can add rentals to your experience at a discounted rate at the time of the lesson booking. If you're adding rentals to your booking you will need to visit Mountain Outfitters in the upper village well before your lesson time to ensure you are ready to meet your instructor on time. If you or your children are taking a lesson on your own equipment please ensure it is properly fitted and in good condition e.g. waxed, sharpened, bindings tested etc. Equipment tuning is available at Mountain Outfitters.

  • Where is the Ski + Ride desk?

We are located inside Ski Tip Lodge just past Guest Services. If you are coming up the stairs, we are on your right opposite the Great Hall.

  • Where do I meet the instructor?

The Ski + Ride Meeting Area is located at the base of the Little Ripper lift in the Discovery Zone. This is the pick up/drop off zone for all lessons.

  • What about lunch?

Unless stated otherwise, the lunch break runs for an hour from 12 PM - 1 PM to allow participants time to warm up and have a healthy lunch. Please be on time to pick up your child for the 12 PM break. A supervised lunch option is not available as this is the instructor meal break time. If you or child is taking a full day group lesson please be punctual for the afternoon (after lunch) session to prevent delaying the group.

  • How do multi-day lessons work?

Multi-day program packages are booked consecutively. For example, you cannot spread a 3 day group lesson package out across 7 days in a day on / day off pattern. We are unable to accommodate requests for 'break days' or similar. If you are participating in the Next Step program, you may coordinate your days directly with the Ski + Ride desk on a non-consecutive basis.

  • Do I get the same instructor for all my lessons?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee the same instructor every day for multi-day lesson programs due to staff scheduling, days off and conflicting lesson assignments/commitments. For private lessons, you can request a particular instructor and wherever possible we will accommodate the request. We are unable to take instructor requests for group lessons. Please let the Ski + Ride desk know if you'd like to request an instructor.

  • Do I need to wear a helmet for my lesson?

In order to participate in a Panorama Ski + Ride School program all children 18 and under, must wear a helmet. Rentals are available at Mountain Outfitters. Helmets are strongly recommended for Adults.

  • Do I need to sign a waiver before my lesson?

Yes, all participants must sign a lesson waiver which is in addition to a lift ticket waiver. You will find a link to an electronic waiver in your lesson confirmation email or when booking online. If you have been unable to sign your lesson waiver online ahead of time please swing by the Ski + Ride desk in Ski Tip Lodge 15 minutes prior to your lesson. If the participant is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will need to sign a lesson waiver on their behalf.
