Whakapapa: New Zealand’s largest ski area boasts a massive 550 hectares of lift-accessed terrain & is also home to the county’s premier beginner playground: Happy Valley. NZ’s highest café is located on Whakapapa’s upper mountain, the award winning Knoll Ridge. The huge variety of terrain provides mellow slopes for first-timers & epic chutes, drops & descents for expert level riders. Whakapapa is epic by day or night, with night skiing & après ski on offer. 2018-19 pass holders will receive one free ski day with every full-day, full package ski / snowboard equipment rental, up to a total of 7 days in the 2018 New Zealand winter season. Guest must hire one day of equipment for each day of skiing and only direct with Mt Ruapehu at rental centres on mountain, in Ohakune and Taupo.
