Nordic Skiing and Snowshoeing
The Greywolf Nordic Centre offers more than 20 km of groomed trails for classic and skate skiing, more than 4 km of snowshoe trails, and snowshoe tours.
New for 2011-12
The official opening day will be December 10, 2011 and there are many exciting changes happening this year.
Nordic Lesson will be available through the Greywolf Nordic so those wanting an introduction to the sport or to brush up on their technique can hit the trails with our qualified instructor.
There is also a new trail connecting the Greywolf Nordic Center with the Upper Village so you may now purchase Nordic trail passes from the Guest Services desk in Ski Tip, as well as from the Nordic Center.
The ticketing system has also been upgraded, allowing for Nordic trail passes to be scanned at the Nordic Center and on the trails!
Nordic Night Skiing - Every Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., come out and enjoy the moonlight during a Nordic skiing adventure. Register at the Greywolf Nordic Center and arrive 30 minutes prior to be outfitted with equipment. Headlamps will be provided. Some basic knowledge of Nordic Skiing is required but route will depend on the ability level of the group.
Price: A Nordic Trail Ticket - $10 and rentals if required are $15
Nordic Skiing
Over 20 kilometres of track-set cross-country trails take skiers through the scenic Greywolf Golf Course and along the Toby Creek. Different routes are available for all levels of skiers from beginners to advanced. Travel 4 km out to the Hale Hut Warming Cabin for an unforgettable afternoon in the mountains.
Snowshoeing
The Greywolf Nordic Centre offers over 4 km of maintained trails for snowshoeing. Trail maps and rental equipment are available.
