Get to know the Panorama Snow School

Jason Simpson - Director of the Panorama Snow School

Born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia, Jason developed a passion for skiing in grade school which continues to shape his life. Years of ski racing segued into a part time ski teaching position at Ski Wentworth while attending Dalhousie University and the die was cast.

Upon graduation he moved to Banff to pursue his dream of becoming a full time ski professional. Migrating further west, Jason spent 10 years in Whistler working in different management roles in one of the world’s largest ski schools.

Jason is a Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance (CSIA) level 4 examiner, Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF) level 3 and has 23 years of experience as a full time ski professional.

Philosophy

Ski technique and the mountain lifestyle continue to be two of my greatest passions. I remain humble in my approach and realize there is still much to learn.  Life must be lived with a beginner’s mind. I wish to help everyone reach their potential in skiing and in life.
